ABOUT ME

I believe we all deserve to be happy and fulfilled at work but that so much of modern workplace culture is at odds with that simple aim.

From my years of experience as a business leader and my time advising executives on organisational culture, I have learned that trust is the transformative factor. We need to trust ourselves and trust and empower eachother.

My background in psychology combined with my decades of experience as a management consultant means I am not only able to use tried and tested frameworks but also get to the deeper insights, which help to drive meaningful change.

THE JOURNEY I’VE BEEN ON…

I have advised businesses on strategy for over two decades. Across my career i’ve always been interested in uncovering deeper truths and effecting meaningful change.

I started my career with one of the big-four management consultancies working with multi-national clients on ‘change management’ projects. I quickly learned that top down change programmes don’t really work, because they treat businesses as predictable machines rather than the complex human ecosystems that they are.

Somewhat disillusioned I decided to affect change in the world in another way. I gained a masters degree in journalism and started making TV documentaries. There I learned the value of asking challenging questions alongside the power of good storytelling.

I returned to the consulting world to apply these new research and storytelling skills to large-scale insight and innovation projects, working for a range of clients including Estée Lauder, Unilever and PepsiCo. I took a particular interest in tackling big questions like; What’s the future of beauty? What is food culture? How can we avoid stereotypes in advertising?

At this point in my career I was leading large teams. I had to learn to trust and empower my teams more to become a better leader. I became fascinated in the complex inter dynamics of the workplace.

Since then I have made it my mission to help individuals and teams become more fulfilled and productive at work. I think the two things - purpose and productivity - go hand in hand. I have witnessed first hand the power of teams that truly trust each other.

I have trained as an accredited coach so that I can work with both individuals and teams to build environments of trust where the truth can be faced head on to drive transformative change.

  • Over a series of sessions, Jenny's questions have helped me to clarify the issues that had led to feelings of unease and dissatisfaction at returning to work from a period of leave. Jenny has supported me to identify the root of these issues and to develop practical and effective strategies to overcome them. I have been able to better-manage the expectations of my colleagues, regain my confidence in the workplace and enjoy my job more than before.
